North Country Brew Pub

When Jodi and Bob opened the doors to North Country Brewing Company in 2005, they couldn’t have expected the support and demand for good craft beer that Slippery Rock had. Over the years, the brewpub has featured over 100 different types of beers, ranging from traditional reds and stouts to more outlandish and experimental brews such as bacon-flavored brews and chai tea infused ales.

North Country Brewing Company has always thrived on the belief of “community before self.” The annual Brewfests have raised over $50,000 for Slippery Rock Development, which have helped maintain Slippery Rock’s appearance and upkeep.

The Harmony Inn

Located in the National Historic District in Harmony, Pennsylvania, and originally the residence of Austin Pearce, a banker, mill operator and railroad executive, the Harmony Inn was Pearce’s home in 1856. Pearce’s fortunes plummeted when his PNC&E railroad business failed, causing him to sell his home to a member of the Ziegler family, a descendant of the Mennonites. Ziegler renovated the building into a hotel and a saloon and became one of the earliest licensed establishments in Butler County.

Eventually the family sold the hotel and The Harmony Inn went through several owners. Bob and Jodi McCafferty were drawn to the vibe of the Harmony Inn, where their paths eventually intertwined. They bought the Harmony Inn in November of 2013, continuing the tradition and quality, and providing a place for more stories to be created.

North Country Canning Company

We are local, sustainable, and charitable

North Country Canning Company is the one of the newest members of the North Country family. With the success of North Country Brewing Company’s brew-pub, and the increasing demand of production, the owners Bob and Jodi McCafferty decided to open North Country Canning Company in 2013. Right down the road from the brew-pub, the canning facility is open for events and tours on select days. The Canning Company brews, kegs and cans North Country’s most popular brews. The facility has shipped beer to every county in Pennsylvania, and also ships to Ohio.
