We prevent perfectly good food from entering the waste stream by redirecting it to those who are experiencing food insecurity. Thanks to thousands of volunteer food rescue heroes, our model of food recovery and redistribution prevents perfectly good food from entering the waste stream and brings healthy food directly to people who need it.

Comprised of thousands of members worldwide, ASHS represents jobs in a broad cross-section of the horticultural community – scientists, educators, students, landscape and turf managers, government, extension agents and industry professionals.

Farm to Table Buy Local is a non-profit 501(c)(3) formed in 2018 to promote locally grown agriculture and improve access to fresh, healthy food. We serve the 30 counties of Western Pennsylvania.

The mission of the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council is to build a food system that benefits our communities, economy, and environment in ways that are just, equitable and sustainable. Driven by community-led solutions, we bring together over 80 entities and 120 individuals to re-imagine our region’s food system and seek policies that promote local food growing, sustainable agriculture, equitable development, and access to healthy food, particularly in low-income communities.
